HOW MUCH DO WE GET PAID FOR OHT.

Its £55 for the OHT assessment and £25 extra if you need to get someone back to repeat IOP’s or VF test.

WHAT DO THE “STATUS “ OF PATIENTS MEAN ON THE OHT PAGE?

“Pending” This is when a patient has been referred to a practice, but the practice hasn’t accepted the patient.

“Accepted” This is when the practice accepts the referral as says they can see the patient.

“Completed” Is when the practice has arranged an appointment for the patient to come in and then the referral from the hospital is completed. This doesn’t mean that the assessment has been completed.

“Claimable” This is when the assessment has been finished and will be paid for in the next month’s payment cycle.

“Claimed” The payment for the assessment has been processed and paid to the practices account.

“Claimed in error / duplicate claim” this is exactly what it says a duplicate claim and therefore not paid. DOesn’t happen often.

“Refused / claimed too late” this usually occurs when the assessment hasn’t been inputted on Pharmoutcomes within 2 months of the date it was finished. The reason we have a 2 month cut off is that the claims to the CCG have to be accurate and when you start having invoices from 3,5,7 months ago being processed it makes it really hard to do so. It is also good practice to have your records updated promptly.
